* 800-TOWPIKE. (Towpike ?? - A graded path or roadway used by horses and men to move barges in an adjacent canal)

** Office hours are Monday - Friday, 1300-0100Z (6 am to 6 pm PDT) April-September, and 1500-0100Z (7 am to 5 pm PST) October-March; Saturday, 1500-2130Z (8 am to 2:30pm PDT) April-September, and 1700-2230 (9am to 2:30pm PST) October-March. Closed Sunday.

APS stocks all NOS, Canada & DOD charts & pubs in quantity so 98% of all orders ship completely the same day received. An order received weekdays after 3pm Pacific time (6pm Eastern, 5pm Central, 4pm Mountain) may not ship until the next day if volume is unusually heavy. An order received Saturday is shipped only by 1st Class, Priority Mail or Express Mail. Airborne, DHL, FedEx, Roadway & UPS are not available until Monday. On Saturdays, Express Mail orders must be received by 11am PDT/PST. On Saturdays, after 2pm Pacific time (5pm Eastern, 4pm Central, 3pm Mountain times) Postal orders may not ship until the following Monday. Orders for overnite or 2nd-day delivery will receive precedence over non-urgent orders after noon PDT/PST on weekdays and after 11am PDT/PST on Saturdays.
Orders ship in the order received, except late orders for Next Day or 2nd Day delivery can displace a non-critical order.
Best times to order are early morning or early afternoon. Worst time to order is mid to late afternoon.
Best days to order
are Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Worst day to order is Monday.
Getting your order shipped the same day is seldom a problem - we've dwelled on timing for people who need help in defining route(s), charts, and pubs. In other words if you have a "problem" order, you may not get lots of help and same day shipping, if you call in after 2:30 pm Pacific time weekdays or after 1:30 pm Pacific time on Saturdays.

Payment Options

1. Credit Card - VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diners Club Intl are accepted for payment with same service and discount as for a cash or billed transaction.
For "one-time" orders cards are normally billed the same day the order has been received or shipped. Credit card numbers are handled with care and security. Your card number does not appear on any paperwork and is not entered on any computer. Credit card numbers on (written) file cards are shredded or burned if inactive for several years.
2. Guaranteed Payment
- A credit card is used as a guarantee of prompt payment by a check or money order. If payment is not received within 25 days of shipment, APS is authorized to automatically bill the credit card.
3. Deposit - Customers prepay by check or credit card as a deposit for future orders. This credit balance is refundable upon receipt of a written request to close the account or convert to another payment option.
4. Pro-Forma Invoice - An invoice is called back, FAXed, e-mailed, mailed or air-lettered for the order. Charts ordered are set aside and shipped when check or money order is received.
The set-aside charts are returned to stock if no payment is received within 15 days.
Next day shipment is possible when payment is overnited by an Next Day Air Letter or Express Mail.
2nd or 3rd day shipment is usually possible when payment is sent by 2nd Day Air Letter or Priority Mail, respectively.
5. C.O.D. Shipment - a last resort for customers who do not want to use a credit card and require shipment the same day they place their order. Note - Response to Pro-Forma by check sent Priority Mail costs $2.00 less than C.O.D.
6. Credit Line - Limited to businesses or individuals doing sufficient business to justify expense of an initial and periodic credit checks. Credit limit is based on credit checks and account volume and payment history.

Unused charts ordered in error, or not needed due to a change in plans may be returned within 2 weeks of shipment by calling the person who took your order. A nominal handling charge (usually 15%) is deducted from the return credit or refund. This is the only handling charge ever assessed by APS.
Privacy Policy APS and its personnel will not provide details of any transaction nor the presence of any individual or company in our files to any third party, unless subpeona'd to do so, or in seeking payment of an overdue account.
Discounts: Apply to all charts, publications and books, but items under $2.50 ea are not discounted unless ordered as a set.
No Commitment: No commitment other than to sensibly state what you need, and accurately give your name and phone number(s), shipping address, and a valid credit card number (unless you want Pro-Forma billing - see above).. APS normally retains a record of your order for two years to enable quicker handling of any subsequent orders, but does not guarantee this.

Pay Shipping: Pop-Up accounts always pay actual shipping costs.
Cost-Share Shipping: APS pays an increasing share of shipping costs as more charts are ordered. An Open Account has 6 or more Sectionals or WACs (or equivalent value) shipped Priority Mail (2-day delivery standard) at no cost!.
Minimum Payment: An Open Account is billed a minimum of $25 to clear a balance due. This avoids penalties for small credit card charges; and a resulting credit balance is carried forward for future use. A balance due in excess of $25 is billed that amount (to bring the accounnt to a zero balance). No additional billing occurs when the credit balance covers the next order. Standing Orders: Automatic shipping of selected charts is available with a high degree of flexibility. A Standing Order ensures that your essential charts are always current. Flexibility of the system lets you specify periods when charts should be sent to a winter or summer address, or to place certain or all futher chart shipments on hold for a specified (including indefinite) period. Many FBO's and pilot shops in northern states stipulate different chart quantities based on calender dates. .
Volume Discounts: For people who resell charts to the public or provide a public transportation servce. Their broad range of requirements requires several plans tailored to FBOs, Flight Schools, Pilot Shops, Repair Shops, Pt 135 & Regional Airlines; Air Ambulance, and Part 91 helicopter and aircraft commercial operations. Surprisingly, over 15% of APS chart sales are to other NOS Agents - usually because they don't stock the charts ordered, have sold out of charts they stock, or cannot profitably handle rarely-ordered charts or pubs; and/or they need them by tomorrow or the next day!..If you are a General Aviation pilot, you should always seek charts first from your local airport - your patronage is necessary to keep the airport open! If they don't have the chart(s) you need, give them our number if they want out help or call APS yourself if they don't...
Organized Orders: APS asks that Commercial accounts fax or e-mail their orders whenever possible. When personal service by phone is necessary, please be "writing a list and checking it twice" (like you do for Christmas) or better yet use an APS or NOS order form to get things organized. Next, check your list against expiration dates, and then call us. For foreign charts please get the lat-long of those unpronouncable names or get its direction and distance from larger and larger cities until they reference a well-known water hole or city!
